Ask students to investigate potential safety hazards at school. A table could be set up which contains the following headings: (a) Area of focus (E.g. Science Laboratory), (2) Potential hazard (E.g. dangerous chemicals) and (3) Strategies to reduce this hazard (E.g. wear suitable safety equipment like goggles when working with dangerous chemicals).
