The COVID-19 pandemic has highlighted some of the challenges of a global economy – especially in relation to supply chain disruptions. These can result from any number of issues such as factory shutdowns due to COVID, transportation strikes and weather-related incidents. There are also great benefits to globalisation however COVID has highlighted some of the associated challenges.
