Johnny Singh, multi-site 7-Eleven franchisee at Turramurra, Manly, Chatswood, Mosman and Killara NSW, was recognised as the convenience franchise's Franchisee of the Year, at its 1st Choice National Conference, was held on the Gold Coast recently.

According to 7-Eleven Australia CEO Warren Wilmot, Singh was recognised due to his outstanding performance against a number of key performance indicators including sales growth, profitability, store standards, support for growing Food Service and his active participation in the 7-Eleven system.

"Johnny is a very positive individual, who encourages and motivates others. He is seen as a professional in his field, and is very well regarded by his peers. What makes Johnny stand out from the crowd is, quite simply, his 'can do' attitude. He always ensures that our customers receive an outstanding experience when they visit his stores, and it is important that we recognise the outstanding effort Johnny and his team have put into achieving this," Wilmot said.

Singh joined 7-Eleven in 2000 and said winning the award is an honour. "7-Eleven has given me many opportunities to provide for the future of myself and my family and I would encourage any person who is looking to purchase a franchise and is willing to work hard, focus on their customers and deliver the highest in-store standards to talk to the team at 7-Eleven. They provide support in a range of areas which means I can focus on making my store a success."

At the Gala Dinner Kashif Rana and Alia Shafi, and Eddie Narayan were recognised as State Franchisees of the Year for Victoria and Queensland respectively.
