EXTENSION ACTIVITIES

1.  Identify a successful small business in your area and research it (through its website, interviewing the owner etc). Put together a presentation detailing:

  • The company's vital statistics, e.g. turnover, number of employees etc
  • The company's mission or vision
  • How and why the company started
  • What, if any, niche market it occupies
  • The USP
  • Its main competitors
  • Its target market and demographic
