1. The following press release appeared late in 2005:

26 NOV 2005, PHILLIP ISLAND: Leading air conditioner and plasma screen supplier, Fujitsu General, has strengthened its relationship with V8 Supercars Australia by signing on as the naming rights sponsor of the V8 Supercar Development Series.

Philip Perham, General Manager Marketing/Sales at Fujitsu unveiled the exciting sponsorship deal during a special address at the Grand Finale in Phillip Island.

The event, formerly known as the HPDC V8 Supercar Series, is the feeder category where up and coming V8 drivers hone their skills with the hope of breaking into the main Championship Series. From 2006 the event will be known as 'The Fujitsu V8 Supercar Series'.

It is a partnership that will afford Fujitsu General excellent branding opportunities with the company taking event naming rights for the next two years.
