The NSW Government recently put a stop to non-essential construction across Greater Sydney in response to the current COVID outbreak. Employing around 200,000 people directly, the industry has warned of dire impacts if the shutdown is extended. Some restrictions have now eased in NSW in regards to construction however this has a flow-on effect to subsidiary businesses such as Coates Hire. Making sense of Australia



On Tuesday 10th August, Australians are being asked to participate in a nationwide Census. Whilst many people in Australia are dealing with the ongoing pandemic, the Australian Bureau of Statistics has the added challenge of keeping the event COVID safe. Fortunately, the Census went online back in 2016 hopefully making the job a little easier.  Every five years the Australian Government collects data from approximately 10 million households and 25 million people across the country in order to better understand the needs of the population, allocate essential resources and make informed decisions.
