VCE - Australian Business Case StudiesAustralian Business Case Studies – helping students pass the VCEAustralian Business Case Studies is a FREE educational resource specifically developed to help students pass their VCE. The Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE) is the credential awarded to secondary school students who successfully complete senior high school level studies (years 11 and 12 or equivalent) in the state of Victoria, Australia. Study for the VCE is usually completed over two years, but it can be spread over a longer period in some cases. VCE is taught in years 11 and 12 of senior high school in Victoria. Many students commence VCE studies in year 10. Each VCE subject is organised into units. The VCE Business Management course is divided into four key units: Unit 1: VCE Small business management Unit 2: VCE Communication and management Unit 3: VCE Corporate management Unit 4: VCE Managing people and change It is essential for students to use case studies within the VCE business studies syllabus to investigate and communicate ideas and issues. Restaurants – Training and retaining great employees' Unit 3: VCE Corporate management In this unit students investigate how large-scale organisations operate. They develop an understanding of the complexity and challenge of managing large organisations and have the opportunity to compare theoretical perspectives with practical applications. Australian Business Case Studies – 'Coates – The Coates Way' Unit 4: VCE Managing people and change This unit commences with a focus on the human resource management function. It then progresses to the analysis of the management of change. Students learn about key change management processes and strategies and are provided with the opportunity to apply these to a contemporary issue of significance.
